Good production results start with optimal utilisation of the ration within the rumen, wherein cows utilise both nitrogenous protein and non-protein sources. The flora of the rumen will therefore utilise both the amino acids in the feed, as well as the ammonia still present in the rumen.
Hipro 58 is an extrudate. By co-extruding urea and starch, we achieve the effect of ‘slow-release urea’. This ensures a constant and stable supply of ammonia, which acts as a breeding ground for cell wall splitting bacteria inside the rumen. A constant supply of ammonia guarantees better digestion of the NDF fraction from the ration, as well as higher production of microbial protein.

What’s more, Hipro 58 is a highly concentrated source of protein. With a VEM value of 1060, it is similar to that of soy, with its crude protein content at 52%.
