Silo sensors for optimal silo monitoring
There is nothing more frustrating than discovering that your silos are empty or nearly empty earlier than expected. Between all your other daily tasks, it then becomes quite a challenge to get your feed to the right location on time. Frustrations run high. Will the feed arrive on time? And what about the savings you miss out on through timely ordering and bulk discounts? If it happens to you more frequently than you’d like, this amount can add up quite a lot, with funds that could be better spent slipping right out of your hands.
The solution for your silos
Fortunately, this problem can now be avoided. With Proxani, you can now equip your silos with silo sensors to ensure optimal monitoring of your feed stocks and make ordering a breeze.
The extensively tested silo sensors and accompanying software give you extremely efficient insights into the available tonnage, feed movement and daily feed consumption of the different silos on your farm. This silo data can be accessed anytime, anywhere, both on PC and smartphones. What’s more, you can easily set up email notifications for when there are 1 or 2 tonnes left in the silo, or perhaps when you have just enough feed left to last you 2 days.
How do silo sensors work?
Silo sensors operate completely autonomously, thanks to an internal 5-year battery and a powerful mobile data link. These are placed on top of your silo (through adhesion), measuring the filled volume every 3-4 hours via radar signal. This volume is then accurately recalculated to tonnage and visualised through clear charts.
There is no drilling involved in installation, and the sensors are weather, wind, dust and dirt resistant due to the cover placed over them.
