In our trial, we compared a test group with a control group, following which we yielded some encouraging results. Animals fed Nutex Sweet in their ration produced on average 3.2 litres more milk per day, containing equal contents of fat and protein. This effect continued even after the trial, whereupon administration of Nutex Sweet had ceased. Health parameters such as ketosis incidence also decreased faster in the Nutex Sweet group. The high concentration of well-utilised energy both reduces and shortens the period of negative energy balance, which also serves to reduce any potential weight loss. As a result, the cows also outperformed the control group throughout the rest of the lactation period.
Nutex Sweet contains high levels of fat from extruded linseed, along with rumen-resistant sugars and very high VEM. This feed also complies with VLOG standards and fits within Proxani’s Euroclim concept.
